Alternative Heat Continue to Invest Strongly in Training

The quality and commitment of our inhouse teams is a key cornerstone to the success of Alternative Heat and we are continually striving to develop our colleagues skills and knowledge through ongoing specialised training, delivered both within our head office training suite and with external partners where required.

As a company we strongly focus on nurturing the professional and career goals of our colleagues, providing them with the tools and organisational culture to develop and exceed within their teams, with HR manager Mary Adamson stating:

“As a company we understand the importance of continuous training and development in the workplace and as a result of this continue to facilitate a wide range of training courses/CPD techniques across various departments. We are always in search of additional training opportunities to develop our colleagues and company knowledge base and look forward to delivering further training and development opportunities throughout the coming months and years.”

Over the last few weeks, a number of our teams have been taking advantage of workplace training and development courses including ECDL Advanced Excel training, employer supported NVQ vocational courses, Site Management training, Health & Safety training, First Aid training, CPD design courses and Navis Works design software training to name just a few.

A few highlights that colleagues have found hugely beneficial are:

ECDL Advanced Excel Training

Monthly external training sessions organised for head office staff to refresh and develop skills for the analysis and presentation of data through Microsoft Office applications

Navis Works design software

Organised and presented by our BIM Co-Ordinator Jarlath, these sessions focused on developing the wider commercial team’s ability to analyse, interpret and utilise complex 3D design models which offer a single whole-project view for large projects

Senior Management Training

Ongoing training sessions to help develop the ability of our senior management team to optimise team performance and improve outcomes through coaching and developing of staff and the implementation of best practice in internal procedures and working practices.

CPD Design Training

Our design team found huge benefits in an external session run by Grundfos on product improvements and training on optimal selection procedures for products for application within specialised industrial settings with extreme conditions and bespoke operating parameters.
