2.3MW Gas & 380kWe Gas CHP Packaged Plantroom
Project Overview
Alternative Heat were employed by Eastleigh Borough Council to design an Energy Centre solution, to provide LTHW and electrical supply to the new Fleming Park Leisure Centre and surrounding businesses.
Scope included full design, build, installation and commissioning of a 2.3MWth & 374kWe Gas/Gas CHP plantroom and onsite civils package.
All design works were undertaken by Alternative Heat’s in-house design team, and shared live with the client through a common data environment for review and approval, removing potential for design delay or miscommunication.
Full plantroom construction was completed within one of Alternative Heat’s dedicated fabrication facilities, enabling a factory-controlled production environment with stringent quality assurance controls, FAT testing and improved health & safety.
Alternative Heat were able to undertake offsite fabrication and onsite civils work concurrently utilising detailed design drawings, reducing overall build programme duration by 7 weeks.
