Project Overview
Alternative Heat were engaged to design, manufacture, deliver and install PUCs for a 39No. apartment low-rise development located in Westminster, London, adhering to a tight project programme.
Multiple layouts were streamlined by Alternative Heat’s design team to create 2No. standardised PUC designs, with handed options, optimising scope for DFMA, whilst ensuring full compliance to consultant mechanical and electrical specification.
Each PUC was designed and fabricated with full mechanical, electrical and comms equipment, with a standardised layout for each apartment type. This included full fitout to incorporate HIU, MVHR, UFH manifold, controls, electrical consumer unit, home automation and IT system.
The application of a DFMA approach greatly streamlined production efficiencies and maximised the benefits of an offsite fabricated solution. Alternative Heat’s design and prefabrication capabilities ensured PUC’s were delivered on-time, on-budget, with full QA checks and FAT testing prior to site dispatch.
