Prefabricated CHW Plantrooms & M&E Distribution Modules

Project Overview

Alternative Heat were engaged to design, prefabricate, deliver and install 2No. modular CHW pressurisation plantrooms, as well as the rooftop CHW prefabricated ring mains and associated internal CHW and electrical riser and lateral distribution modules, for a new build data centre in Frankfurt.

Alternative Heat’s in-house design team successfully standardised module dimensions and service layouts to provide a streamlined DFMA solution, to incorporate all associated MEP services, permitting synergies in design and procurement and facilitating repetitive production line build methods.

All prefabrication was completed within Alternative Heat’s factory-controlled production line facilities, with all modules completing a rigorous QA process and FAT testing prior to despatch to site.

Alternative Heat provided a dedicated on-site contracts delivery team to complete all positioning and installation works, working to project programme and site specific constraints over a 3 month onsite install programme.
