Investing In Our Future Talent

We’re pleased to announce the launch of our new Student Programme 2026, supporting our higher-level apprentices and placement students throughout their journey with us.

To officially kick things off, we brought everyone together for a small introduction session where they learned more about Alternative Heat, the programme and what they can expect during their time with us. They also received a welcome folder containing everything they’ll need to get started — along with a few snacks, of course!

It was a great opportunity for our students to meet the people supporting them, ask questions and get to know each other before beginning their AH journey.

The programme provides a clear framework from onboarding through to completion, with Line Managers, Mentors and Learning & Development working together to support each individual. It includes:

• Clear learning and development goals
• Regular coaching, mentoring and feedback
• Opportunities to build technical, behavioural and professional skills
• A consistent experience throughout their time with us
• Tracking to measure progress and development

By investing in structured development from the outset, we’re helping our apprentices and placement students build the skills and experience they need for the future, while developing the talent that will help shape our business.

We’re excited to see them learn, grow and make their mark at Alternative Heat.
