The annual event, organised by the Labour Market Partnership and funded by the Department for Communities, focused on this year’s theme: ‘Recruit, Retain and Reskill’, emphasising the importance of cultivating a resilient and skilled workforce.
The conference, expertly hosted by Mark Simpson, featured an esteemed line-up of guest speakers, including Dr. Eoin Magennis from Ulster University, Ann Watt from Pivotal, Kathleen O’Hare from the Northern Ireland Skills Council, and Elaine Leonard from The Appleby Trust. Each speaker provided valuable insights into the evolving labour market and strategies for addressing workforce challenges.
A key highlight of the day was the engaging panel discussion, where local employers, including Alternative Heat’s HR Manager, Mary Adamson, shared their perspectives on effective approaches to employee support, retention, and productivity enhancement.
