Trainee Document Controller/ Administrator

Position Description

Due to continued growth, we are looking to integrate a Trainee Document Control / Administrator to support our growing Documentation Control Team in our fabulous new Head Quarters based in Banbridge. This post is a permanent contract and offers an amazing opportunity for a candidate who wants to gain experience with a progressive and dynamic company.

Job Summary

We are seeking a self-motivated candidate that will be a key member of the team. Your daily tasks will involve managing and recording large amounts of information and ensuring it is accurately stored. You will also help with other administrative duties such as answering telephone, stationary and any other ad hoc duties that are required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Process a large number of documents daily, including uploading & downloading drawings / documents and printing distribution
  • Maintain accurate document record logs of all drawings and documents issued by all parties at each stage of a project.
  • General administration of project documents.
  • Perform weekly checks to ensure all project documents are kept up to date.
  • Build, manage & maintain relationships with clients, contractors, other construction professionals, suppliers, and staff.
  • Report to the Document Control Manager on a daily basis.
  • To maintain high standards of work within your department.
  • General administrative work and any other duties necessary to support office staff.

Essential Criteria:

  • 5 GCSE’s at Grade C or above or equivalent, these must include Mathematics and English Language
  • Good Microsoft Office skills – to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to take ownership of their duties and a willingness to grow and learn within their team and the company.
  • Demonstrate a good ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good telephone manner and professional approach to all daily tasks.
