Position Description

Due to continued growth we are looking to integrate a Project Planner to to support our growing team in our fabulous new Head Quarters based in Banbridge. This post is permanent contract. Job Summary

To ensure that the projects are kept on track by producing reports and updating and managing the weekly labour planner to keep all other teams involved in the project on track.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide full and accurate Programme of Works for each project from earliest stages ie – Design, Procurement, Fabrication, Assembly, Delivery and through to Commissioning.
  • Overlay and summarizes each programme requirements to provide each department with accurate information for scheduling and prioritizing workloads.
  • Provide report and update on KPIs for each project to our operations managers. .
  • Attend project meeting to gather information and discuss accurate lead times & duration of works to ensure PoW are based on accurate information.
  • Provide update PoW report to our clients on a regular basis throughout the duration of each project. .
  • Attending project pre-start meeting to obtain an understanding of the scope and liaising with project/contracts managers to develop time schedules and confirm high risk factors that need to be watched closely.
  • Assist with planning for the project and ensure that the project schedule is managed appropriately.
  • To update and manage the weekly labour planner and liaise with the contracts/projects managers to ensure accurate programs are in place and updated weekly and accurately for all live projects. .
  • Identify areas of risk which could delay works progressing
  • Attending and scheduling progress meetings as required and recording accurate minutes of key discussions and decisions made and following up on action points in a timely manner within set deadlines. .
  • Planning contingency programs in case timeframes change, .
  • Manage several projects at one time. .
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by management.

Essential Criteria:

  • Two years’ experience working in a similar role
  • Previous experience in project planning
  • Previous experience in producing accurate reports and updating trackers daily.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office i.e. Mainly Project, Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written including the ability to liaise with staff at all levels.
  • Excellent organization, planning, analytical and attention to detail skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve discrepancies that may arise
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure on own initiatives to achieve self and team targets

Desired Criteria:

  • Previous experience working in a construction, engineering or manufacturing background.
  • An understanding of mechanical and electrical materials within the construction/engineering sector

Head Office, Banbridge

Hours:

08:00-17:00, Mon – Thurs, 08:00 -15:00 Fri

Salary:

Competitive depending on experience
