IT Support Technician

Position Description

We are currently looking to recruit an IT Support Technician to support our growing team in our fabulous new Head Quarters based in Banbridge. This post is permanent contract. Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for ordering and stocking associated IT equipment for all Alternative Heat employees. This candidate will provide a central point of contact for all phone or IT queries from Alternative Heat employees and they will be responsible for liaising with equipment suppliers to help resolve.

Responsibilities include:

  • Sourcing and ordering of laptops / surface / computers as required for all new starts & upgrades
  • Load & Update software packages on computers as required
  • Track & manage software licenses to ensure they are kept upto date
  • Setup and manage email accounts and company email groups
  • Review printers and source, order and setup new printers as required
  • Liaise with printer suppliers / maintainers to ensure they are maintained and serviced inline with manufacturers recommendations
  • Monitor ink toner / cartridges and ensure adequate stock is maintained as required
  • Provide technical assistance to team for computer / printer queries
  • Liaise with Nitec (external IT support Team) as required to resolve any technical issues / firewall queries
  • Order, track and maintain phones for new and existing users
  • Provide technical guidance / training to users as required
  • Track monitor and report on monthly usage
  • Review and negotiate phone contracts and data allowance inline with company demands
  • Stock and setup remote dongles as required
  • Develop and maintain IT & Phone master asset list
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by management.

Essential Criteria:

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Relevant IT experience.
  • Ability to take ownership of their duties and work via their own initiative.
  • Demonstrate a good ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills.

Location:

Head Office, Banbridge

Hours:

08:00-17:00, Mon – Thurs, 08:00 -15:00 Fri

Salary:

Competitive depending on experience
