Human Resources Administrator – Maternity Cover (9-12 Months)

Alternative Heat specialises in the design, supply and installation of a wide range of Off-site Prefabricated solutions for the commercial M&E sectors throughout Ireland and UK. Through continuous investment within our teams, and our facilities, we have grown strongly over the years and established ourselves as a leader within the offsite pre-fabrication industry throughout Ireland and the UK.

Due to continued growth we are looking to integrate a Human Resources Administrator to support our growing Human Resources team in our fabulous new Head Quarters based in Banbridge. This post is fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity cover. Role

The HR Administrator will provide support across all aspects of the employee lifecycle, HR systems requirements and general HR administration.

Core Responsibilities of role:

  • Acting as a first point of contact for employees with general HR queries and responding appropriately
  • Assisting with the recruitment process by uploading job vacancies on the jobs boards, downloading applications, collating shortlisting information for the panel, arranging interviews and communicating with candidates at each stage of the process.
  • Drafting and issuing employment letters and contracts
  • To carry out the induction of new employees; providing company information and new starter packs and coordinating other departments involvement in the process
  • Administration of new joiner and leaver process
  • Administration of employee benefits, payroll and salary processes
  • Administer and maintain the HR System including data entry, uploading documents and updating records accurately in order to produce accurate and timely HR information
  • Maintenance of the time and attendance system, liaising with employees on any clocking anomalies and updating in/out times.
  • To provide general administrative support whilst ensuring confidentiality and GDPR compliance in relation to handling all information and personal information within the department.
  • To provide support with fair employment monitoring returns and government quarterly surveys
  • Support in ad-hoc HR projects as they arise
  • Assist with arranging travel when necessary
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by Management

Essential Criteria:

  • 5 GCSE’s at Grade C or above or equivalent, these must include Mathematics and English Language
  • 12 months previous experience in providing administrative support within a HR function
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to work with a high level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Detail orientated, highly organized with the ability to work to deadlines
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and work on own initiative
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Essential Criteria:

    • HR CIPD Level 3 Qualification
    • Experience working with HR systems
    • Experience working with time and attendance systems

Head Office, Banbridge

Hours:

08:30-17:00, Mon – Thurs, 08:30 -15:00 Fri

Salary:

Competitive depending on experience
