OJ Underfloor Heating Controls

The new OJ waterline underfloor heating control system provides true comfort through precise room temperature control, always ensuring optimal energy and savings through advanced control of boilers, pumps and actuators.

The system allows a total of 14 room sensors to be connected together off the one manifold with a master contoller (WLM2-1BA) providing connections for 8 sensors and an Add on module (WLM2-1AO) allowing an additional 6 sensors

The wiring centres are user-friendly with clearly marked indicators allowing simple and easy to follow detail of what the underfloor system is doing at any one time. The system is also self -diagnostic with indicators flashing in a particular sequence to report an error. e.g 1 red flash against a room sensor indicates a faulty sensor to be replaced.

Unlike previous underfloor heating systems, the Intelligent Control utilises a 5 Volt, 2 core bus system to connect all room sensors together. The room sensors are simply "daisy chained" together using a 2 core light duty cable (bell wire or CAT5). This 2 core system is then connected back to the Master Control box.

The room is set to the channel it is controlling by removing the thermostat cover and adjusting the arrow to the zone you wish to control. The example illustrated showes the thermostat be set to zone 4 so that it will register as zone 4 on the wiring centre (WLM2-BA) and control the actuators for this room.

The low voltage room control system has many attractive features over conventional systems. Using WLCT programmable room thermostats the building can be divided into different heating zones containing rooms with a similar heating pattern and usage. Users can adjust individual WLTA room sensors by + or - 4º from the temperature set in the WLCT2-19 thermostat.

For example a WLCT sensor could be set at 20ºC allowing rooms controlled by this thermostat to be heating to a minimum temperature of 16ºC and a maximum of 24ºC. This means there are no wild variations in individual room temperatures. There is no limit to the number of WLCT room sensors although we would recommend one for the living and one for the bedrooms as a minimum.

Advantages:

  • Pulse width modulation control.
  • 5 Volt room thermostat can be installed in bathrooms/ensuites.
  • Simple 2 wire first fix cable installation using minimum 0.25mm cable.
  • System can be installed in a "daisy chain" or "star" system.
  • Advanced room temperature control.
  • Heating and cooling function.
  • Easy functunability and self diagnostic fault reporting.
