The IDM Hygenik buffer hot water tank is the perfect partner for the IDM heat pump and eliminates the usual issues associated with heat pumps and domestic hot water production. Ranging in capacities from 250 to 2000 litres with heat exchangers from 25 to 70 litres per minute all applications can be catered for.

The buffer tank compliments the heat pump and provides a dual function. Not only is it a buffer tank but it provides domestic hot water. The external heat exchanger provides instantaneous domestic hot water eliminating any risk of legionella as the water is not stored and does not require to be heated to 65ºC. Depending on the heat pump used the hot water tap temperature can be anything between 45 and 60ºC.

Other heat sources can be easily integrated into system using heat exchanger coils. This allows the underfloor heating system to remain pressurised whilst having a solid fuel stove open-vented.

The Hygenik tank allows several heat sources to be integrated into the system without over complicating the controls.
